Krishna Agencies

Krishna Agencies is found in the village at Post Kashrupada, which is part of the Kesinga Taluka. We are positioned very conveniently right near the State Bank of India, which is a major landmark for anyone coming into the village. Our shop is a typical rural agency setup. We have a front area where people can come in and talk to us, and a larger back area where we store all our goods. The walls are simple plaster, and we’ve got some old wooden shelves that have seen better days but still hold up the weight of our stock. Working in Kashrupada means we are very connected to the local rhythms of life. When the bank is busy, we usually get more foot traffic stopping by to see what we have. It’s a dry area for a lot of the year, so it gets quite hot and dusty inside. We usually have a ceiling fan whirring away at full speed to keep things comfortable. We deal with all sorts of people, from local shopkeepers to individual villagers looking for supplies. There isn’t much of a hierarchy here; we all just pitch in with the lifting and the record-keeping. The ledger sits on a scarred wooden table near the front door. We like being close to the bank because it feels like the center of the village activity. It’s a plain, hardworking place where we try to keep things moving as best as we can. We've been here for many seasons now.
