Bhagsu Dental Clinic

Up here in Bhagsunag, things move a bit differently than down in the main city. Our clinic is located at Raku's Place, which is quite close to McLeodganj. If you’re familiar with the Dharamshala area, you know the roads can be a bit steep and the weather changes every five minutes. We see a real mix of people here. Some are locals who have lived in these mountains their whole lives, and others are travelers who just happened to get a toothache while visiting the temple or the waterfall. The clinic isn't very large, and sometimes you can hear the rain drumming on the roof so loudly we have to raise our voices to be heard. We don’t have any shiny brochures or a fancy receptionist in a suit. It’s just a simple room with the necessary tools to fix teeth. Sometimes the power goes out when there’s a storm, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else in the village. It’s an honest way to work. We spend our days looking at cavities and cleaning teeth while the monkeys jump around on the trees outside. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We just provide a needed service in a beautiful, if sometimes inconvenient, location. People know where to find us at Raku’s Place when they need help. It’s a quiet, practical life we have here in the hills of Bhagsunag. It’s not always easy, but we get the job done.
