Abhilasha Clinic

In a place like Anjad, everyone pretty much knows where everything is already. Our clinic is just one of those local spots where people stop by when they’re under the weather. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just the basic stuff you need to run a clinic. There is always a bit of chatter coming from the street outside which filters through the windows. On market days, it gets especially crowded around here and we see more people than usual. Some walk in from the nearby villages and wait patiently on the benches. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to sit around for too long in the heat. The walls are painted a plain color and we have a small desk where the paperwork gets handled. It is a lot of routine stuff like checking temperatures or writing out notes. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything, sometimes pen and paper just work better for us. It’s a humble setup but it serves the people of Anjad well enough. Most of the time, we’re just chatting with the patients about the weather or how the crops are doing while we work. It’s a very grounded way to spend the day. When the evening comes, we lock the shutters and head home like everyone else in town. The building is simple and the work is steady, which is all we really need.
