Kendriya Vidyalaya

Our branch of Kendriya Vidyalaya is located out in Ranikhawa, which is a bit of a quieter area near Giridih. The school grounds are fairly large, giving us plenty of room for the daily morning assembly and some sports activities. Since we are in the 815316 zip code, we get students coming in from different parts of the district. The building is a simple structure that serves its purpose well. Every morning, the buses and cycles arrive, and the whole place wakes up. We have a routine that we follow because that’s how things stay organized with so many students. The teachers here have a lot of work to do with the classes, but they also find time to sit together under the trees during their breaks. It can get quite dusty during the dry season, and the wind blows across the open spaces. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that; it’s just a practical place for learning. The classrooms have wooden desks that have been around for a while, and the chalkboards are always covered in notes. We see the seasons change from the classroom windows, from the heavy rains that turn the ground muddy to the cold mornings where everyone wears their sweaters. It's a plain, honest school where the staff works hard and the kids go about their business. There’s a sense of order here that seems to work for everyone.
