Water Fresh

Living and working in Jharia, you know how important it is to have clean water. Dhanbad is a place where everything gets covered in a layer of coal dust if you aren't careful. That is why we started Water Fresh. We are just a small outfit in the village. It is not a big factory with shiny walls. It is a practical space where we bottle water and get it out to the people who need it. My cousins work here with me. We spend most of our time checking the filters and making sure the bottles are clean. The road into the village can be bumpy, which makes deliveries a bit of a challenge sometimes. People around Jharia know us because we’ve been here for a long time. We aren't trying to become a global brand or anything fancy. We just want to make sure the families around here have something reliable to drink. The heat can be brutal during the summer months, and that is when we are the busiest. There are days when we can barely keep up with the demand. It is tiring work, lifting heavy crates all day, but it feels good to provide something so essential to our neighbors. We stay focused on the work and try to do it right every single day without making a big fuss about it. We just take the truck out every morning and come back when the last crate is delivered.
