Variety Store

The shop is called Variety Store. People around here in Sastri Nagar know where we are. We sit right on Sastri Nagar Road in Dhanbad. It’s been 826001 for a long time now. The building isn't anything fancy but it gets the job done for us and the people who stop by. We open up pretty early most days because that’s when folks are out walking. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in if the wind is high but we just sweep it out and keep going. Dhanbad is a busy place so there is always someone passing through Sastri Nagar. We have been in this spot for a while now. It’s just how it is. You see the same faces every morning and afternoon. Some people call us just to see if we have something in stock before they walk over from the other side of the road. It’s a simple setup. We don't have big signs or anything like that. Just the name on the front so you know it’s the Variety Store. Being in Jharkhand, the weather changes but the shop stays the same mostly. We have a few shelves and a counter. There isn't much more to tell about us. We just stay here and wait for the neighbors to come in for what they need. It’s a quiet life usually. The Sastri Nagar Road gets a bit loud with the traffic sometimes but we are used to it now.
