About Surya Minerals – Metals & Minerals in Dhanbad
Started the day early here at Village Bayang. It’s usually quiet until the first few trucks start pulling up toward the Kathar post office side. We handle a lot of minerals here, mostly just moving things from one pile to another or getting stuff ready for the big lorries to take away. The ground is always covered in a bit of grey dust, so we have to wash the floors down more than I’d like. My cousin works the morning shift with me, and we usually just sit near the entrance when it isn't too busy. It's not a fancy setup. We just have the shed and the scales. Sometimes the weather gets really rough around here, and then the mud makes it hard for the wheels to turn, but we manage somehow. People in the village know where we are because of the tall fence. Most days it’s just about keeping the records straight and making sure nobody is waiting too long out in the sun. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. We don’t have a big office or anything, just a desk with a lot of papers and a phone that rings whenever someone is lost trying to find the turn-off from the main road. The sun hits the roof pretty hard around noon, so that’s when we usually take our main break. It’s a simple life out here in Bayang, just keeping the business moving and the minerals sorted.
