Surender Kirana Store

Surender Kirana Store is right there on Pandit Clinic Road, not too far from Sushila Apartment in Dhanbad. This part of the city is always moving, and our shop is right in the thick of it. We keep a good stock of all the essentials, like cooking oils, soaps, and different varieties of rice. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of wall space for shelving. It’s common to see boxes stacked up to the ceiling in the corner. I’ve been running this place for a while, and the routine is always the same. I arrive early to take the milk crates inside before the sun gets too hot. The neighbors from Sushila Apartment are our regular customers, and we know their preferences pretty well. We don't have a computer or anything like that; I just use a calculator and a notebook. Sometimes the street gets blocked by parked cars, making it hard for people to get in, but they usually find a way. The floors are made of simple stone and they've become smooth over the years from all the walking. We try to keep the most popular items near the front so people can grab them quickly. There is no air conditioning here, just the breeze that comes through the open door. It’s a plain, honest shop where we just focus on having what people need for their homes. That’s how it’s always been for us in Dhanbad.
