Subhaakritee

Subhaakritee is sitting here in Ajanta Para, Hirapur. It’s a busy part of Dhanbad, and we’ve been at this address for a good while. Most days start with opening the shutters and letting some air in. The street outside gets noisy pretty early with people heading to work or the market nearby. We don’t have any fancy lobby or a bunch of receptionists. It is just a workspace where we get things done. You can usually find us sitting at the big wooden desks surrounded by folders and different papers we need for the day. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or chat until it comes back. It isn’t always the quietest spot, especially with the traffic on the main road in Hirapur, but it works for us. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle for tea. Neighbors pop in sometimes just to say hello or ask about something small. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven’t really gotten around to it because there is always something else to do. We keep our tools and materials organized enough so we can find them when we are in a hurry. It’s a practical setup, nothing too polished, just a regular office in a regular part of town. We’ve grown used to the sounds of the neighborhood and the way the light hits the floor in the afternoons. It feels like home after all this time.
