Sonu General Store

Sonu General Store is a small place you can find in Matkuria, Dhanbad. We are situated right near the Check Post, which is a landmark that most people around here use for directions. Because of the check post, the road is always busy with trucks and cars moving through at all hours. We stay open a bit later than some others to help out anyone who needs a few things after the main markets have closed. The store is packed with bags of rice, different types of pulses, and all those small items a kitchen needs. There isn't a lot of space inside, so we use every bit of the walls for shelving. My brother and I manage the whole thing. We don't have extra staff, so when it gets crowded, you might have to wait a little bit while we finish with someone else. The 826001 area is mostly full of hard-working people and we appreciate everyone who stops in. There aren't any fancy signs or advertisements for this shop. It’s just the name Sonu on the front and a pile of goods inside. Dust from the main road is always a problem, so someone is usually wiping down the counters. It’s a simple life running a shop in Dhanbad, but it keeps us busy and connected to the neighborhood here in Matkuria. We just do our work and go home.
