Ranjit Kirana Store

Ranjit Kirana Store is located in the Housing Colony area of Dhanbad. We are quite close to the Housing Board Office, which is a big landmark around here. The pin code is 826001 if you are looking for us on a map. Our shop is where we spend most of our day, selling things like soap, oil, and flour. It started out small and it's still pretty much the same size. We don't have fancy displays. We just put the sacks and packets where they fit. People from the colony come in for their monthly rations or just to grab a single packet of biscuits. Sometimes we run out of things, but we try to restock as soon as the truck comes. Living and working in Dhanbad means dealing with the dust and the heat, but the shop stays relatively cool inside. We don't really do any advertising. Most people just walk in because they live down the street. It’s a basic neighborhood store. We open early in the morning so people can get what they need before work. It is just me and a couple of others helping out. We keep track of everything in old notebooks. It is a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We like being part of the local scene here in the colony.
