Raju Store

You will find Raju Store in Village Gaus Nagar. We are located right near the bus stop, which is where most people gather. Our post office is over in Makhdumpur and we fall under the Balidih tehsil area. Being near the bus stop means we get all kinds of people stopping by. Some are just passing through and want a cold drink, while others are our neighbors who need flour or oil. The store is just a simple room with shelves. We don't have any air conditioning or bright neon signs. When the weather is dry, the road gets dusty, so we have to clean the jars and packets quite often. We have been here for many years, and we know almost every family in Gaus Nagar. It is a quiet kind of life, mostly spent sitting behind the counter and waiting for the next bus to arrive. We don't have a computer or a website. We just write down what we sell in a notebook. Sometimes we run out of things if the supply truck doesn't come on time, but everyone understands how it is. We try to keep a little bit of everything so people don't have to travel all the way to the bigger markets. It is not a fancy business, just a village store trying to be useful to the people living around here. We enjoy the pace of life in the village.
