Pioneer Traders

Our place, Pioneer Traders, is at No.23 on Bhaga Road, right near the Jharia Bus Stand. Since we are so close to the bus stand, there is always something going on nearby and plenty of noise. It’s a very busy part of Jharia with a lot of people and vehicles moving around at all hours of the day. We handle a variety of trading goods from this location. The building is an older one, but it serves our purposes well enough for storage and meeting with our regular buyers who come through. Most of our work involves managing the flow of goods coming in from the main transport routes and getting them sorted for local distribution. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking manifests to make sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle. Sometimes the congestion near the bus stand makes it tricky for our trucks to get in and out, but we’ve learned the best times to move things without getting stuck in traffic. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us who know the trade and the local area well. We’ve been based on Bhaga Road for a long time now. It isn't a glamorous job by any means, but it’s what we know how to do. We just focus on keeping the inventory moving and making sure the shop stays in order for the next day's work. It’s a steady living in a busy part of town.
