Pan Varsa Bhandar

Pan Varsa Bhandar is a small shop on Bhuli Road in the Nisad Nagar area of Wassepur, Dhanbad. We are situated right near the State Bank of India branch, which is helpful because many people going to the bank stop by our counter. It is a very basic place where we sell things like pan, cigarettes, and various small snacks or candies. There is usually a small crowd of people hanging around near the bank entrance, and you can hear the constant sound of traffic from the 826001 area all day long. The shop doesn't have much room, it is mainly just a counter with some wooden shelves fixed to the wall behind it. I keep several small jars filled with different types of supari, tobacco, and masala for making the pan. I spend a lot of my time sitting and waiting for the next customer to walk up from the street. Sometimes I have a quick chat with the bank security guard when he takes his break. The weather here can be quite tough, it is either very hot or the air is filled with dust, so I usually keep a small battery radio playing in the background to pass the hours. It is an ordinary job but it keeps me busy enough. People from around Nisad Nagar know me well and they often stop for a bit of talk before heading off to work.
