Niraj General Store

Niraj General Store is right on Bank Road in Dhanbad. This part of Jharkhand is always buzzing, and our shop is tucked into a spot where people pass by all day. We deal in all sorts of general items that a house might need. It’s a small place, so we have to use every inch of the walls for shelving. Sometimes it feels a bit tight when a few people are inside at once. We’ve been here for a while, and the shop has become a regular stop for many locals. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us managing the sales and the stock. We get our supplies from the local distributors every week. Often, we are busy checking lists and making sure nothing is missing. The floor is a bit uneven and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it doesn't bother anyone. People come here because they know we have what they want. We don't use any complicated technology. It’s just us, the customers, and the goods on the shelf. We open up in the morning and stay until the street gets quiet at night. It’s a simple routine that we’ve followed for years. We just focus on getting the work done and helping the neighborhood folks. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door during the monsoon, so we have to put a bucket there. It's an old building, but it has been home to our shop for a long time.
