Munna Store

Our place is called Munna Store and we are located in Manaitand. It’s near the Goal Building, which is a big landmark here in Dhanbad. Everyone knows where that is. We have a small shop that sells mostly snacks, drinks, and some household items. It’s a very local spot. Most of the people who come here live in the houses right behind us. They come in their slippers to buy a loaf of bread or some eggs. The shop gets very bright in the morning when the sun hits the front. We have a small fridge for the cold drinks, which is very popular in the summer. I usually have a newspaper to read when it's quiet. My family has been in this area for a long time. We know everyone's name and what they usually buy. Sometimes people ask to pay later, and we have a book where we write those things down. It’s based on trust. The Goal Building is always a busy area, so there are always people walking past. We keep some chairs outside for the older men to sit and talk. It’s not just a shop, it’s a bit of a meeting place. We don’t have a fancy logo or anything like that. Just a simple shop front with the name Munna Store. We open at eight and close when the street lights go off. It gets a bit noisy with the bikes passing by but we are used to it by now.
