Madura Garments

Madura Garments is located in Azad Nagar, which is near Maithon in the Dhanbad district. Our workshop is at Mh-207/B. It is a place filled with the sound of sewing machines and the smell of new fabric. We have rolls of cloth stacked up in the corners, and sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives. The area here in Jharkhand is mostly known for coal, but we focus on making clothes. We have a few local tailors who have been with us for years. They sit at their benches and work through the piles of fabric every day. It is not a high-tech factory. We use old-fashioned methods and check every stitch by hand. Sometimes the heat in the room gets a bit much, so we keep the big doors open to let the breeze in from the Maithon side. People from the neighborhood often walk in to see what we are making or to ask if we have any scrap pieces of cloth they can take. We don't have a big showroom with lights and mirrors. It is just a work space where things get made. We spend a lot of time counting buttons and measuring sleeves. It is hard work on the eyes, but we like seeing the finished shirts and trousers piled up ready to go out. It is just a small local business trying to keep busy.
