Maa Annpurna Bhandar is located at Hirapur Hatia in Dhanbad. If you are looking for us just go behind the Kali Mandir and you will find our shop. Being so close to the temple means we see a lot of people every day, especially on festival days. It is a very noisy and crowded area. We sell all kinds of groceries and daily staples. The shop is quite small and we have to stack things very high to fit everything in. I have been working here for a long time and I know the place inside out. My father was the one who originally got this spot. We don't have a computer system or any modern gadgets. I just use a simple calculator and a notepad. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door so we have to move the sacks of grain. It is a lot of physical work moving the heavy bags around. The market at Hirapur is always full of life and there is always something happening. Most of the people who come to our shop have been coming here for generations. We know their families and what they usually buy. It's a very traditional way of doing business. We don't have any plans to change how we do things. We just want to keep serving the local people who live near the temple.
