Laxmi Tea House

We are located right near the Durga Mandir in Bartand. It’s a busy little corner of Dhanbad. Most people know us because they stop for a cup of tea after visiting the temple. The morning time is usually the loudest around here. We have a few benches for people to sit down, but often they just stand around talking. We make tea throughout the day, boiling the milk and tea leaves together like everyone likes it. It’s not a big cafe or anything fancy. Just a small tea house. Sometimes the rain gets inside a bit if the wind is strong. We keep some snacks too, like biscuits or whatever is fresh. The smell of the temple incense sometimes drifts over here. It feels like a good place to be. My father started this and now I spend most of my time here. We know the neighbors well. Everyone stops by to share news or just take a break from work. The stove is always going. We don't use fancy machines, just a simple kettle and local milk. If you're walking toward the mandir, you'll see us. It’s a simple life running a tea stall. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a spot where you can get a hot drink and relax for five minutes. The tea cups are just simple ones, nothing special. We wash them out the back in a big plastic tub. It’s a lot of work.
