Kumar General Store

Our shop, Kumar General Store, is located in the Mini Market at Hirapur, Dhanbad. We are right on Police Line Road, which is usually a pretty active spot. We've been operating out of this small space for a long time now. We sell basic supplies that most families need on a daily basis. Think of things like flour, rice, tea, and cleaning supplies. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. The items are just on the shelves where they fit. We try to keep our prices fair because we know our customers are our neighbors. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the traffic on Police Line Road, but we try to keep the place as clean as we can. Running a general store means you never really have a slow day. There is always someone coming in for a small thing they forgot. We like the interaction with the people here in Hirapur. It's a tight-knit area. We don't do any big promotions. Most people find us just by walking through the market. If we don't have something in stock, we tell people honestly and try to get it in by the next delivery. It's just me and a couple of others helping out. We've seen kids grow up and start coming in to buy things for their own houses now. That’s the nice part about staying in one place for so many years.
