Keshri Kirana

People around Katras Main Road know us as just the local shop near the Thana. Keshri Kirana has been sitting here in Katrasgarh for a good while now. It is a simple place where we keep the usual things like dal, rice, sugar, and cooking oils. The street outside is always busy with cycles and people heading to work. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside so we spend a lot of time wiping the counters. It is not a big fancy supermarket with bright lights. We just have wooden shelves and some gunny bags on the floor for the grains. Most of our customers are neighbors who have lived in Dhanbad their whole lives. They come in for a kilo of flour or some spices for dinner. The afternoon gets quite quiet when it is hot outside, and then it picks up again in the evening. We do our best to keep the basic items in stock so nobody has to go too far for their daily needs. The building is a bit old and the sign is faded, but it serves its purpose. If you walk past the Katras Thana, you will see us right there. It is just a regular life running a kirana store here. We don't have any fancy technology, just an old ledger and a scale. That is how things are done here in Katrasgarh.
