Main Road Jharia is usually packed with cars and people. Our shop is right in the middle of it. If you know where Deo Public School is, then you've probably passed us. We've been here in Jharia for a while now. The building is older, but it serves its purpose. Inside, it's mostly rows of cabinets and glass counters. We keep things organized by category, though sometimes when it's busy, it gets a bit cluttered. We deal with all sorts of medical supplies. People come from different parts of Dhanbad to get their monthly supplies. In the afternoon, it gets noisy when the school lets out. You can hear the kids and the rickshaws outside. We just stay behind the counter and handle the prescriptions. It is a family-run kind of setup. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us working the shifts. We take lunch in turns in the small room at the back. It’s a simple life. No fancy decorations on the walls. Just the licenses and some calendars. We try to keep the most common medicines in stock so people don't have to go elsewhere. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use the inverter. That's just how things go here. We've seen the road get paved and repaved many times. The location is good for business, even if the traffic is a headache sometimes.
