Jaiwal Homeo General Store is found near the Sabji Mandi at Kendua Pool in Kusunda. Being so close to the vegetable market means it is always lively around here, especially in the early mornings when the farmers bring their produce. Our shop is a bit unique because we handle both general store items and some homeopathy supplies. It’s a small space, and we have to be careful with how we arrange the little bottles and the larger household goods. The smell of the market—onions and fresh greens—often wafts into the store. We have a lot of customers who come by after they finish their vegetable shopping. Dhanbad is a place where people appreciate having everything in one spot. We don't have any fancy medical setups, just the standard things people look for when they aren't feeling well. The street outside can get very muddy during the monsoon, but the shoppers still come through. We’ve seen many seasons pass from this doorway. The shop is a bit old-fashioned, and we like it that way. There aren't any bright neon signs here. We just have our name and the door is always open during business hours. It’s a busy life, balancing the different types of products we sell. We know most of the vendors in the Mandi and they often stop by for a chat. It feels good to be part of the daily bustle. We keep things simple and just focus on the shop.
