Ism Dhanbad

We are based at No. E-210 in the Sapphire Hostel at the Indian School Of Mines. Dhanbad is a place that feels a bit different from the big cities, and the campus here has its own character. Our workspace is actually just a room in the hostel where we have set up our desks. It is a typical student environment, so there are books everywhere and clothes hanging on the balcony. It is definitely not a corporate office. There is a lot of noise from the hallways where people are always moving around or talking. We have our computers and a few lamps, and that is about it. The walls are a bit bare, and the furniture is just what the hostel provides. We work late into the night because that is when the building finally gets a bit quiet. Dhanbad can be quite dusty and hot, so we usually have the fan going at full speed. It is a very simple way of doing things. We don't have any staff or a big budget for a fancy setup. It is just us in this room, working on our ideas and trying to make progress. We eat in the mess hall and follow the general rhythm of campus life. It is a practical and honest way to live and work. We don't need much else besides a good internet connection and some peace and quiet every now and then to get through our daily tasks.
