General Store Narendr Sing

My name is Narendr Sing and I have been running this general store in the Baniyahir area of Jharia for quite a while now. It’s right on Sindri Road. People who live around here usually just pop in when they need something quick like a packet of milk or some soap for the bathroom. I try my best to keep the shelves filled with the basic things that my neighbors actually use. It does get a bit dusty inside because of the traffic on the road, but we try to keep it as clean as we can. Most days, I am the one sitting behind the counter. You see the same faces every single morning. Some people come in just for a quick chat while they are picking up their daily groceries. It is not a big or fancy place, just a normal shop for normal people. We carry the usual items like rice, pulses, and some snacks for the kids. Sometimes it gets really busy and other times it is very quiet. I have lived in Dhanbad for many years so I know most of the families in Jharia. It is a simple way of life here.
