Dr Gurudas Banerjee Memorial Polymed Clinic

Our clinic, Dr Gurudas Banerjee Memorial Polymed Clinic, is situated over in the Phus Banglow area. It’s a bit of a long name to say, so most people just call it the clinic near the post office. We are right by the Bhaga post office in the Jorapokhar police station area. The building is older but it serves its purpose well enough. Every morning starts the same way, unlocking the front door and getting the registers ready. You can hear the sounds from the street all day long, mostly people going about their business. It’s a busy little corner of the world here. We see a lot of regulars who have been coming to this spot for years. The waiting room gets crowded on Mondays, and sometimes it gets a little hot if the breeze isn't blowing through the windows. We try to keep things organized, but it’s a small place and things get messy sometimes with all the paperwork. Phus Banglow is a familiar landmark for everyone in this part of Jorapokhar. There are plenty of shops nearby so there is always a lot of movement outside. We don't really bother with anything flashy or modern looking. It’s just a practical space where we work and talk to the neighbors. Most days are pretty routine, which is fine by us. We are just here near the Bhaga post office if anyone needs us, keeping the doors open for the community as we have always done.
