Ashish General Store

Running Ashish General Store in Govindpur keeps me busy from dawn till dusk. We are located in the Upper Bazar area, right on G T Road. Being in Dhanbad, it gets quite dusty with all the movement and the coal trucks, but we keep the shop going. It is a basic setup. I sell things that families need every day, like rice, dal, and some toiletries. I do not use any fancy computer systems for the billing, mostly just a pen and a notebook. It is faster that way when there is a line of people waiting. The shop has been in the same spot for a long time. People know they can find me here. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a small lamp, but the business does not stop. I try to keep the prices fair. I do not have a big fancy sign, just the name painted above the door. Most of my customers are people I have known for years. We chat about the weather or the local news while I pack their bags. It is a simple life. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the highway, but everyone understands. It is not like a big city mall. It is just a local store where you can get what you need and have a quick word. I am usually there behind the counter every single day.
