Asha Ke Doot Foundation

We are out in Bhaljoria, tucked away at Agam Ram’s place. It’s a quiet corner of the world, really. The pin code is 828205 if you're looking on a map. Most people around here know each other, so we don't really need a big sign out front. We spend our mornings getting things ready for the day. Sometimes it involves a lot of walking around the neighborhood. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We just have a small room where we keep our files and take our meetings. The air is different out here than in the big cities. It's slower. We don't have fancy titles or uniforms. We are just the folks who work at the foundation. People stop by to ask questions or just to see what's happening. We don't have a lot of polished speeches to give. If you ask what we do, we just tell you about the work we did yesterday. It’s honest and it keeps us busy. Sometimes the goats from the neighbor's yard wander near the door. That’s just life in Bhaljoria. We like the simplicity of it. There’s no pressure to look a certain way. We just show up, do the work, and go home when the sun starts to set. It’s a good way to live and work. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Even when the power cuts out, we just keep talking.
