Asarfi Hospital

Being in Dhanbad means you get used to the grit and the constant movement of a busy industrial town. Asarfi Hospital sits right in the middle of it all here in Jharkhand. It’s a big building, and there’s always something happening, whether it’s the middle of the afternoon or three in the morning. We have a lot of staff coming in and out in shifts, and the lobby is rarely quiet. You hear the fans whirring and the distant sound of traffic from the main roads. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy decorations; it’s more about having enough chairs for people and keeping the hallways clear. The paperwork alone takes up a lot of our time at the desks. We see people from all walks of life coming through those front doors. Some are just here for a quick talk with a doctor, while others are staying longer. We try to keep the water coolers filled and the floors mopped, which is a never-ending task with so many people walking through. It gets dusty, that’s just Dhanbad for you. We’ve been here a while now, and the hospital has become a bit of a landmark for the locals. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks, making sure the shifts are covered and the lights stay on. It’s a lot of hard work for everyone involved.
