Our shop is located in Rani Sati Market, right on the Main Road in Jharia. It's a busy spot with a lot of people walking by all the time. Being right in the middle of the market means it’s always a bit noisy, but we are used to it by now. We handle a lot of different supplies here. People from around town stop in mostly for things they need for their own projects or shops. It is a small space, so things are stacked pretty high on the shelves. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for. We try to keep things organized but it gets messy when deliveries arrive on Tuesday mornings. The building is older, like most of the ones on this stretch of road. We've been in this market for a good bit of time. It’s a simple operation, really. Just me and a couple of others helping out. We don’t spend much time on the computer; we prefer talking to folks face to face. If the front door is open, we are here. Jharia is a tough place sometimes but the market stays active. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk in with a question or an order. It’s nothing special, just a regular local business trying to stay busy and helpful to the neighborhood.
