Agarwal Fruit Corner

Selling fruit on the Nh Road in Rajganj is mostly about timing and having a good eye for what is fresh. We are located right near the Hero Showroom, so there is always a lot of activity and bikes moving around. Agarwal Fruit Corner isn't a big operation. We just have our stalls and crates filled with whatever is in season at the time. Dhanbad gets pretty hot, so keeping the fruit from spoiling is our main job throughout the day. We spend a lot of time sorting through the baskets to make sure only the good stuff is out for people to see. People stopping their cars or bikes on the highway usually want something quick and fresh to take home or eat right there. It is a noisy spot with the traffic constantly zooming past, but you get used to it after a week or two. We start our day very early, going to the local mandi to pick out the best mangoes, bananas, or apples we can find. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving crates back and forth. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult since we are so close to the road, but we just cover things up and keep going. We don't do any fancy packaging or delivery apps. People just come by, pick what they like, we weigh it on the old scale, and they are on their way. It is a simple life and we like being our own bosses here in Rajganj.
