Sagar Stores

Sagar Stores is spread across a few different units on the first floor in Mamulpet. Specifically, we occupy shops 8, 10, 12, 16, 39, and 40. It sounds like a lot, but they are all grouped together in that busy market way. Finding us for the first time can be a bit of a puzzle because the stairs are narrow and Mamulpet is always crowded with people carrying big bundles. Once you get up to the first floor, it’s a bit quieter than the street level, but not by much. We have stacks of goods piled high in every corner. There isn't much room for walking between the aisles. We spend a lot of our time moving boxes around to get to what a customer needs. It’s a bit of a workout. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we know exactly which pile holds which item. We’ve been part of this market for years. You see the same faces every day, from the porters to the other shop owners. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background, mostly just for some noise while we work. It’s a cramped, busy, and honest way to spend the day. We don't have fancy signs or a big entrance. Just the shop numbers painted above the doors and a lot of work to do. We just keep the inventory moving and make sure the count is right at the end of the night.
