S. Kumars Ltd.

S. Kumars Ltd. is down at No. 3 A Industrial Area 2 A. B. Road. This area is always full of trucks and the smell of exhaust because of all the factories around here. Inside our building, it’s mostly the sound of the machines running and people shouting to be heard over the noise. We work with a lot of fabric and threads, so there is lint floating in the air almost all the time. Our desks are covered in samples and bits of cloth that we haven't sorted through yet. The lighting isn't the best in the back of the warehouse but we manage to get things done. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby for visitors to sit in. Usually, if someone comes by, they just find us on the shop floor. A. B. Road gets really crowded in the evenings when the shifts end. We’ve been at this location for a while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. My brother handles the deliveries and he’s usually out on the road most of the day. We eat our lunch quickly because there is always another batch of work coming through the line. It isn't a glamorous job but it pays the bills and keeps the family going. We just do our bit and try not to get behind on the weekly targets. Nothing stays quiet for long here.
