Ravi Public School Chidawad

Ravi Public School Chidawad sits right on the Main Road in Tonkhurd. If you are driving through this part of Dewas, you can’t really miss us. It’s a rural area, so things move a bit slower here compared to the big cities. We have kids coming in from all over the Chidwad post area. Some walk, some come by bus. The school morning starts with a lot of chatter. Our building is practical and fits the needs of the local families here in Madhya Pradesh. We spend a lot of time just making sure the classrooms are ready and the blackboards are clean. It gets dusty because of the road, so we are always sweeping the floors. The teachers are mostly local people who care about the village. It isn’t a high-tech place, but we have what we need. We see the seasons change from our windows, from the heavy rains to the hot summer months. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider to let the breeze in. People in Tonkhurd know us as a steady presence. We don’t make a big fuss about things. We just open the gates, do the lessons, and send the kids home in the afternoon. It’s a long day for everyone, but it’s good work. Being part of this community in Dewas means we know the parents and the grandparents too. It’s a small world here and we like it.
