Our site is out in Dewas, spread across blocks 16A, 16B, and 17A in the industrial area. Being right off AB Road makes it easier for the trucks to find us, though the traffic out that way can be unpredictable. We deal with welding consumables, so the warehouse is always full of boxes of electrodes and spools of wire. It’s a heavy business. The sun in Madhya Pradesh doesn't play around, so the warehouse gets really warm by mid-morning. We have a lot of space, which is lucky because we need every inch of it for the inventory. Most of the day is spent loading and unloading or checking the quality of the batches that just came off the line. We aren't into fancy presentations or big talk. We just focus on the specs of the welding rods. The office side of the building is where we keep the records and handle the logistics for the whole operation. It’s a busy atmosphere with people constantly coming in and out. We take our tea breaks together under the shade when we can. It’s a straightforward life out here in the industrial zone. You get used to the sound of the forklifts and the smell of the packaging materials. Everyone knows their job and we just get on with it. It’s been our home base for quite some time, and we’re quite settled into the rhythm of the area. We’ve been here long enough to see the neighboring plots fill up with other factories.
