Down here at No. 7 Abhinav Complex on Ujjain Road, things usually start moving pretty early in the morning. We deal with agricultural supplies and the kinds of things farmers need for their crops throughout the different seasons. Our office is small and mostly filled with old ledger books and some physical samples of the grain or supplies we are trading that week. The traffic out on Ujjain Road is almost always a mess, so we usually try to get here before the sun is fully up just to beat the worst of it. My cousin and I run the place together. We talk to a lot of folks who come in from the countryside looking for fair prices or just checking to see what the market is doing today. It is not always an easy business to be in, as the markets go up and down and sometimes a bad stretch of weather ruins everything for everyone. We just try to keep things honest and keep the paperwork moving as best as we can. There is a small tea stall nearby where we probably spend half our time anyway talking to customers. We do not have a website or anything like that, just a landline phone that rings way too much and a desk that is constantly covered in faded receipts. If someone needs seeds or general supplies, they usually know how to find us inside the complex. It is just regular work that keeps us connected to the land.
