Arti Engg. Works

Arti Engg. Works is located in Village Bhatiya, which is part of Tehsil Kalyanpur in the Jamnagar district. We are very close to the railway station. You can hear the trains whistling and the tracks rumbling all through the day. It is a sound we have grown very used to. Our workshop is where we do various engineering tasks. It is a noisy place with the sound of grinding and welding usually filling the air. We have a lot of heavy tools scattered around. The floor is concrete and always has some oil or metal shavings on it. We wear our old clothes because they are just going to get dirty anyway. Being near the station is helpful for getting things shipped out, though the road leading to us is a bit bumpy. We have been in Bhatiya for quite a few years now. Most of the people working here are from the village or just a short bus ride away. We have a small overhead fan that does not do much in the heat of the summer, but we keep the big doors open for the breeze. There is no front office or receptionist. If you need something, you just walk in and find whoever is not busy with a machine. It is straightforward work and we just focus on getting the pieces right for whoever ordered them. We finish up when the sun starts going down and head back home.
