You can find Maa Cold Drink over at Maa Fuels, which is the Essar Petrol Pump on Main Refinery Road. It is an interesting spot for a shop because we get a lot of truck drivers and people traveling long distances. They are usually tired and looking for a break from the road. The shop is tucked away right there on the pump premises. It is not a quiet place, as there is always the sound of engines and the smell of fuel in the air. I spend my time keeping the fridge stocked and making sure everything is cold for when the next car pulls in. The Main Refinery Road is always busy, especially with the heavy vehicles going to the plant. It gets very hot out on the blacktop, so having a cold drink shop here makes sense. I don't have any help, so I am here from morning until late at night. The space is small and mostly filled with coolers. I don't bother with fancy displays or anything like that. People just want a quick bottle and to be on their way. Sometimes I chat with the drivers about their trips and where they are heading. It is a practical business in a practical location. We just keep the drinks cold and the shop open for whoever passes by on the refinery road. The dust from the passing trucks is constant, so I’m always cleaning the glass of the fridge so people can see what’s inside. It’s a bit of a lonely spot sometimes, but the steady flow of travelers keeps me occupied.
