Surakshana Poultry Farms

Our farm is out in Survey No 295, in Beemanpally Village. It’s a bit of a drive out to Devarakonda Mandal, but that’s where the space is for the birds. We spend the whole day out here looking after the sheds and making sure the feed is ready. Farming isn't a clean job, you’ve got dirt on your boots and the smell of the birds everywhere, but it’s what we do. We wake up early, usually before the sun is even up, to start the rounds. There are always repairs to do on the fences or the water lines. It’s a lot of manual work and your back starts to ache after a few hours of moving sacks around. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that, just the farm buildings and the land. Dealing with the weather is probably the hardest part, especially when it gets really hot and we have to keep the birds cool. People from the nearby villages know us and come by when they need to talk about supplies. It’s a quiet life out here in Beemanpally, away from the city noise. We just focus on the daily chores and keeping the operation running without too many hiccups. Some days are longer than others, especially when a delivery is coming in or we are moving stock. It’s just how things are on a poultry farm in this part of the district.
