Balaji Oil Industries, Devarakonda.

We are located out at 18/400 in Devarakonda, right beside the Market Yard. It’s a busy spot especially when the trucks come in with the harvest. We have been running Balaji Oil Industries for a long time now. The machines make a lot of noise and it gets pretty hot in the afternoons. Most days we are just busy with the seeds and making sure the oil is coming out like it should. People from around this part of Devarakonda know where we are because of the smell of the pressing. It is not a fancy place by any means. There is some storage space and the main unit where the pressing happens. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait it out. That is just how it is here. Most of our work is with local farmers who bring their stuff over to us. My brother and I handle the daily work ourselves. A big office or anything polished isn't something we have. Just a small desk and some chairs where we sit and talk to the people who come by. Having the market yard next door is convenient because everyone passes by there anyway for their business. We keep the big doors open mostly to let the air in. Oily floors are a problem, so we have to clean them often with sand. It is hard work but it keeps us going. If you come by you might have to wait a bit while we finish a batch.
