Swaraj Tractors

Our place is Swaraj Tractors on Sondikoppa Road in Nelamangala. The address is 84-6-12, and you can usually see us because of the big yard with tractors parked out front. It is a working shop, so it is never really clean. There is always some grease or mud on the ground from the machines coming in from the fields. We spend our days working on engines and helping people find the right parts for their Swaraj models. Most of us here grew up on farms, so we understand how much it hurts when a tractor breaks down during the busy season. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area, just a few old chairs in the corner where you can sit while we look at your machine. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking sound, but it works fine for us. Nelamangala is growing fast, but the farmers still come in from all over to get their equipment checked. We keep a ledger of who owes what and what parts we need to order for the next week. It is a noisy job with the engines running and the tools clanging, but it is what we know how to do. We don't make big promises, we just try to get the tractors back in the field as fast as we can so the work doesn't stop. Sometimes we share a bit of news with the farmers while they wait.
