Yadav Rice

Yadav Rice is located in the village of Sawreji Bhaya, which is a small place in the Bhatpar Rani area of Deoria district. Being out in the village means life moves at a different pace than the big cities. We are mostly surrounded by fields and other homes, and our work revolves around the rice that grows in this region. The mill itself is a simple structure where we do the basic work of husking and sorting. It is a local operation through and through, run by people who grew up in this district. We do not have any fancy signs or a big marketing budget. Most of our neighbors know who we are, and they just walk over or bring their carts when they have business with us. The work can be repetitive, especially during the harvest season when everyone is bringing in their grain at the same time, but it is what we know how to do. Inside, it smells like dry grain and earth. We spend our days managing the machinery and making sure the bags are stacked correctly. There are no corporate meetings here, just daily chores and talking to the local folks about the crops or the weather. It is a practical life, and we are just a small part of the village economy, trying to keep the machines running and the grain moving out to where it is needed.
