Narayani Traders

Narayani Traders is just a small place near the Hanuman Mandir over in Bangra Bazar. If you walk past the temple, you’ll see our door at No. 3. It’s usually pretty busy around here, especially on market days when the Post Malipura area gets crowded with people coming in from all the nearby villages. We’ve been running the shop for a long time, and it’s mostly just us handling the inventory and talking to whoever walks in the door. The shelves are always a bit of a mess because we have so many different items tucked away in the back corners. We don’t have a computer system or anything, just a big paper ledger where we write everything down by hand. Sometimes the monkeys from the temple come onto the roof and make a lot of noise, but we just ignore them now. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan going, though it squeaks a lot and doesn't do much. Most of our customers are neighbors or people we've known for years. We aren't trying to do anything big, just keeping the shop open and making sure we have what people need when they stop by. It’s a simple life here in the bazaar. We open up early, sweep the front, and wait for the first delivery truck to arrive from the main road. Anyway, it's just a regular local shop.
