About Leles Rice Mill – Food & Beverages in Deoria
If you ever find yourself in Village Bankia, over in the Ukhanda area, you might pass by Leles Rice Mill. It’s not a big industrial complex, just a local mill that serves the surrounding farms. We spend our days surrounded by piles of grain and the sound of the engine running. The village is quiet most of the time, except for when the harvest comes in and the mill starts working full time. We don't have any fancy office staff. Usually, it's just a couple of us managing the intake and the milling. The equipment is basic, but we know how to keep it running smoothly. Sometimes a part breaks and we have to wait a few days for someone to bring a replacement from the town. That's just how it goes out here. We don't bother with advertising or trying to look bigger than we are. The farmers bring their grain because they know us and we’ve been here for a long time. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide a service that the village needs. The air in the mill always smells like toasted grain, which is a scent I’ve grown to like over the years. It’s honest work that leaves you tired at the end of the day, but it feels right to be doing something useful for the people living around us.
