If you go down to Railway Station Road in Salempur Nayagaon, you will find us at Door Number 07. We are Desi Darbar Dhaba Private Limited. Being in Deoria, right near the station, means it is always a bit chaotic. People are always coming and going from the trains. We run a dhaba, which is exactly what it sounds like. We cook food for hungry travelers and locals. It is a Private Limited company, but don't let the name fool you. It’s a kitchen with tables and chairs. We have been here in Salempur for a while now. The 274509 zip code is our home. We serve basic meals, the kind of stuff we eat at home. There is no menu with fancy names. We just have what is fresh on that day. The stove is always on. We deal with a lot of noise from the railway, but we’re used to it. Our staff is local, mostly guys from the village who know how to cook. We don't have any big marketing plans. We just rely on the smell of the food to bring people in. It gets hot in the kitchen, and the floor is usually a bit dusty from the road outside. But that is how a real dhaba is. We just want to serve good food and keep the business running. It’s hard work, but we like it here in Deoria. We stay busy from morning till late.
