Vapanam Agrotech Private Limited is located at Durga Jha’s place in Bawanbigha, which is in the Madhupur area of Deoghar. It is a pretty quiet part of Jharkhand to be honest. We focus on agrotech, which sounds a bit high-tech, but really we are just a few people trying to make farming a bit better around here. We work out of a regular house, so it doesn't feel like a big corporate office at all. Usually, you’ll find one of us sitting at the desk or out the back working on some equipment. Madhupur is a nice place but it gets very hot in the summer months. We have to take breaks in the middle of the day sometimes. We aren't a massive company with a huge marketing budget. We just talk to the farmers in Bawanbigha and the surrounding areas. We try to figure out what they need and see if we can provide it. It might be tools or just better ways to manage their water and soil. Most people around here know Durga and that's how they find us. We don't really have a big sign outside or anything. It's just a local business trying to do some good work in the community. Sometimes the internet is slow and we can't get much done online, so we just stick to the physical work and talk to people face to face.
