Private Health Clinic

Out here in Routara Post in the Godda District, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. The clinic is right near the main path and we see a lot of people coming in from the surrounding areas. The walls are thick to keep the heat out but in the peak of summer, it still gets quite warm inside. We have a few wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait their turn. Most days the dust from the road covers the windowsills by noon so we are always wiping things down with a damp cloth. Our equipment is basic but it does what it needs to do. We keep the medicine in a locked cupboard in the back room where it stays a bit cooler. The power goes out sometimes in the afternoons and we just sit by the open door to get some light. We know most of the families around here by name since we have been at this location for a long time. The floor is made of cement and has a few cracks near the entrance but it doesn't bother anyone. There is a small tree outside that gives a little shade to the people waiting near the steps. It is a simple life and the clinic is just a part of the local landscape here in Godda. We don't have fancy signs or anything, just the work we do.
