Mohini Stores

We have been here at Mohini Stores in New Town for quite a while now. Most people know us because we are right near Tower Chowk, which is always busy with traffic and people walking by. It gets pretty loud outside during the day, especially around lunch time when everyone is out. Our shop is just a regular place where we keep things organized the best we can, though sometimes the shelves get a bit messy when we are busy. It is mostly just us working here, trying to keep track of what people need. New Town has changed a lot since we first opened, but the Tower Chowk area stays pretty much the same with the old buildings and the same familiar faces. We open up early in the morning before it gets too hot and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when things are quiet and just watch the rickshaws go past. There is a lot of dust from the road, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the counters with an old cloth. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that, just the main floor and some storage in the back where we keep the extra stock. It’s a simple life running a shop here. People stop in to chat or just pick up what they need quickly. We know most of the neighbors by name. That’s just how it is around here. Sometimes the clock on our wall runs a few minutes slow, but nobody seems to mind too much.
