Kokan Masala Udyog

Kokan Masala Udyog is situated in the Pramesh Building, specifically in the C Wing. We are in Naine Nagar, but you have to look behind Deoghar to actually find our entrance. It’s tucked away from the main path, which keeps things a bit quieter, but it can be a pain for delivery drivers. We spend our days grinding and mixing various masalas. It’s a lot of manual labor, mostly lifting heavy sacks of dried chillies and coriander seeds. The machines we use are old and loud, so you can’t really have a conversation when they’re running. The air in the C Wing is always a bit spicy, which can make your eyes water if you aren't used to it. We keep a few windows open, but that just lets the Naine Nagar dust in. We have a couple of long wooden tables where we sit and pack the ground spices into small plastic pouches. It’s a repetitive job, but we listen to the radio and talk when the machines are off. The Pramesh Building is a bit old, and the hallways are usually cluttered with boxes from the other businesses too. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything. People who know us just come to the back door and ask for what they need. It’s a simple operation, and we don't have any plans to change how we do things. It’s just us making masala in our little corner of the building.
