Finding Gali No. 7 can be a bit of a trick if it’s your first time coming down Mandi Samiti Road. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you have to watch out for the scooters zooming past. We’ve been set up here in Aali Ki Chungi for several years. It started out as just a small project in a back room and eventually turned into Expert Technology. The name sounds a bit official, but it’s really just a few of us sitting around with tools and spare parts. Most days, the table is covered in bits and pieces of whatever we are trying to fix. It’s dusty work, and the fan doesn’t always reach the back corner, but we manage. We aren't the type to wear suits or sit in air-conditioned rooms all day. We like getting our hands dirty and figuring out why something stopped working. The neighbors are good people; we often share tea in the evenings when the sun starts to go down. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a truck unloading stuff for the mandi, and we just have to wait it out. It’s a simple life here in Sre. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything. People mostly hear about us from their cousins or friends. We just do the work that comes in and hope for the best.
